the Northern Blogging Community....

Lately I've stepped out of my 'lurking' of other northern blogs--and started commenting and interacting with other bloggers! It's a pretty neat community, one that I am a new member of--but am glad I am part!

Clare has been a northern blogger for over 4 years!!! He has entered this contest put on by Quark Expeditions to blog and visit Antarctica (how cool is that?!)--I wish I had known earlier and entered the competition...but well it's not in the cards for ME but I want to help send him there.

If you want to visit his blog where he talks about the competition click HERE!!! Family and friends you can help make this HAPPEN!!!

All you need to do is visit HERE to vote for him!!!

My vote was in a few days ago...Clare introduced himself on my blog to talk about the finer points of Fair-Trade Coffee and, well, he kicks my butt in the coffee world any day (though I have the sneaking suspicion that my little brother could give him a run for his money).

Go Clare!

...and lurking is not cool...

Hey There,
Seeing how people are telling you that lurking is not cool, I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Melissa and I am a lurker :)
I live in Rankin Inlet and have recently started my own blog too.
Now that I have formally introduced myself, am I no longer a lurker? Great blog, by the way!
Melissa

haha - lurking at first is fine (calm down now - I can hear the roar of protest already) .. it's kinda like meeting someone new for the first time, ya need to size them up and send out the research scouts (hehehe).

Oh, and I guess I could also introduce myself as well, I'm Kennie, formerly of Arctic Bay, NU now of Ross River, YT. And the Nunavut blogging community is a great group of peeps too.

I'm also trying to de-lurk. I'm fairly new but have been reading the blogs since June when I found out I was moving up to Gjoa. If only I was a bit more consistent in my writing and commenting, I think I could really enjoy becoming a part of this nunavut blogging community.
