Yes, the Easter Bunny DOES get around... they even made it to the arctic... THANKS MOM!! it was awesome surprising Emily (and me) with a few awesome Easter goodies.... you rock the world as the best mom ever!
..this is the Anglican Church in Pang... Emily and I went to the service Easter morning---it started at 11... it was a great service--even though it was in Inukitut!!! I was able to 'follow' along as best as I could with the prayer book--and I spoke the English words of the service over the inukitut....kind of like it was me and God there...didn't really matter about language.. I mean we were all there to talk to the same God right?...The youth did a really neat presentation/dance/sign language to the song "Amazing Love"...and well I sat in that 2nd last row and couldn't stop the tears.... it's weird..(i didn't sob) just silent tears... and I know the reasons why....but it was just really weird...people who know me know I don't like to cry...ESPECIALLY in public...but it was really great--I was able to pull it together and sing along to the end of the song....it was a good moment! My other favourite moment was singing Amazing Grace in English and listening to the Inukitut being sung as well! While there I saw the lady that made the sushi---and she goes every week so perhaps I'll venture back the first Sunday of the month to recieve communion again!
Yahoo for candles---especially they when they are Easter ones!!! one of the ONLY candles I came north with.....had to save it for Easter morning!!!
Easter Dinner.... Emily and I cooked... beef, mashed potatos and salad!! (we ended up eating AMAZING food all weekend long---thanks Em for your cooking skills--my ideas and your skill are a perfect team in the kitchen!!) it was a yummy meal.. and I made an apple crisp for 2 for dessert!! :)
This is a glimpse of my life....
