Last night there was an 'AMAZING' sunset... have been working on doing some 'panorama shots' but you'll have to stay tuned for that!!!

The TANKER arrived!!!!

Tonight I went for a bit of a walk...out in front of my house.... the tide is at it's low point....pretty cool! The other exciting news is that illusive tanker has arrived... this morning I woke up, looked out my front windows...and there in the fjord was the tanker! (we don't 'quite' have gas yet...takes some 'time' to fill up the tanks/transfer the gas....I'm not really sure of the process....other than the fact that the tanker uses a BIG hose to get the gas into our huge storage tanks!)...I've been told that tonight by 8:30pm there should be gas... I'll go tomorrow sometime and fill up the tank.... so my wheels will be a working again!!!

It looks REALLY small eh? but I'm a ways away from it... .it's ACTUALLY HUGE!!!

I'm glad that Pang has gasoline again! :)

Out of Gas...

Nope that's not referring to me... (although today I think I have perfected the art of coming home from work at 5 and already put on my pjs and am chill'n on the couch--been feeling tired and out of gas ALL day... this hopefully will be an early night!)...

O.K. so where was I?

Yes, out of gas...gasoline that is! Pang's tanks are empty!(As seen in the photo... there are HUGE tanks that are filled by tankers that come in the summer...the little shack is the where the gas station attendant processes your payment. and the other little building has the hose! Here is a bit of a 'rush' hour at the pumps..the ATV has a lot of jerry cans to fill up as well!!)

Pang has been 'out' of gas for a few days...they flew some in..but now we is the 'tanker' is due ANY day now...that could be tonight, tomorrow, Saturday or even a week from now... (I've heard various things from various people)... it is affecting people that want to go out boating this weekend....(it's the long weekend) and usually that entails 2-3hours in a boat one are all out again!! The radio has been a buzz with people looking to 'buy' gas that others might have 'stock piled'... the good news way to get to a cabin.. or maybe a piece of land you want to hunt/fish/and camp on.... with no gas in town... this might not happen!

So you might wonder... why does this affect you, Sarah... well normally it wouldn't affect me...but I've been 'car' sitting.. and yes... my car is sitting in front of my house... with the 'fill' tank light on...I'm hoping there's enough gas to get to the airport and back to get mom... on Sunday....or that illusive Tanker finally makes it to Pangnirtung's Harbour!!
